The ES 500e pairs a 221-hp front motor with a 118-hp rear motor, for 338 net horsepower from its 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery. Lexus's DIRECT4 all-wheel drive shifts torque between the front and rear axles as conditions change, and Lexus estimates 0–60 mph in 5.1 seconds. On its optional 21-inch six-spoke aero wheels, the EPA estimates 272 miles of range and 118 city / 105 highway / 112 combined MPGe. The NACS (J3400) charge port DC fast-charges at up to 150 kW, which Lexus says takes about 28 minutes from 10 to 80 percent, and the 11-kW onboard charger handles overnight Level 2 charging at home.
As a Luxury trim, it adds a 17-speaker, 1,800-watt Mark Levinson PurePlay surround sound system, a head-up display, a panoramic roof, and a 14-inch Lexus Interface touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The front seats are heated and ventilated with memory, the steering wheel is heated, and there are dual front wireless phone chargers and a Panoramic View Monitor. It also has remote start, a power trunk, and a pass-through rear seat. The Cold Area Package adds a windshield wiper de-icer and headlamp washers, and driver assists include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning. Other factory extras include wheel locks, a side puddle light, black emblem overlays, and a multimedia screen protector.
